Mexico City / La Villa Guadalupe / Railroad Museum - Davenport Locomotive Works

A light industrial switcher built by Davenport Locomotive Works in Davenport, Iowa. Generally used for yard switching and moving materials around industrial plants. Only used on a few mainlines, to get around union rules requiring 2-man operation on bigger engines.

 

The museum is in the former Ferrocarril Mexicano station, in use to about 1960.
