Texcoco, Mexico - Entrance to Chapel in Rectory of National Agricultural University - Diego Rivera Mural

Part of Diego Rivera's second sponsored work, just inside the entrance to the Chapel in the Rectory. Photos were allowed here but not inside the main part of the Chapel. Unlike the doors, the murals in the chapel are not overtly political / Marxist.

 

Spent over an hour in the Chapel - the mural of the dead Emilano Zapata nourishing the soil is probably Rivera's best work.
