Drosendorf ist eine historische Kleinstadt im nördlichen Waldviertel. Sie liegt an der Thaya, die auch die Staatsgrenze zu Tschechien bildet.
Das abgebildete Rathaus war ein alter Gutshof, der im 16. Jhdt. von der Stadt angekauft und zum Rathaus umgewidmet wurde. Die Sgraffiti stammen allerdings aus dem frühen 20. Jhdt.
Nach eine Gemeindereform ist der offizielle Name jetzt Drosendorf-Zissersdorf.

Drosendorf is a historic small town in the northern Waldviertel. It lies on the Thaya river, which also forms the state border with the Czech Republic.
The town hall pictured here was an old manor house that was purchased by the town in the 16th century and rededicated as a town hall. However, the sgraffiti dates from the early 20th century.
After a municipal reform, the official name is now Drosendorf-Zissersdorf.
