Two engineers
Alois Negrelli (right) and Carl Ritter von Ghega (left) are "neighbors" at Vienna's Central Cemetery. Both names are inextricably linked with the rapid development of the railroads in Austria-Hungary in the 19th century. Negrelli was also involved with Switzerland and northern Italy and, last but not least, with the construction of the Suez Canal.
Negrelli was originally buried in the St. Marx cemetery.
