I’ve been a systems programmer (and being paid for it) for the last 18 years in C/C++. I’ve been programming since 78 when I point-to-point wired my first 8080 computer and hand assembled 8080 code to make a Simon. I’ve played with hardware in lots of different forms and written software device drivers/embedded systems.
