The View Out Our Cottage Window
Here you see a summer view of Lake Whatever, our getaway destination. Just to show you how cold it is in Canada, That's ice on the lake, and this IS October. (read further for a full explanation.) Of course, we don't have a cottage (except for cheese), and Lake Whatever is, Whatever! Its currently 20C outside (around 72F) and the photo was taken last winter in Port Stanley. FYI, I have always loved Poe. A troubled, but, highly creative man. The elephant lighter, is from a bunch of political cigarette lighters from the 50s or 60s. Not sure. He's wearing a necklace that says "GOP". lol I have a jackass lighter with the Democratic name as well. Two, actually. lol I don't smoke, but, I threw that pipe in their anyway. I had great difficulty trying to light the darn thing. Almost threw up. Never could keep it lit. lol The glasses were my Pappy's (great-grandfather), and the mug is from my daughter. The pens were my grandfather Herb's, and the book I bought at an antique store.
