COC Dsquared2 Tikigirl Styling - Eleseren Brianna

Dsquared2's Spring 2014 'Tikigirl' collection takes us back to the glamorous 1950's, and sophisticated resort wear for the Elite, but by way of 1980's Glamazons - Dovima sipping cocktails while Cindy Crawford struts past. The collection mixes 1950's shapes and structured, even corsetted, tailoring, with 1980's glitz and popping colour. Luxe fabrics in cocktail colours, chic black, crisp white, elegant navy, gleaming gold and a touch of the wild with tiger stripe and crocodile leather. Lines are clean, sharp, and even when detailed with beading and ruffles, everything is uncluttered and elegantly sexy. Beautifully crafted statement accessories complete the looks.

 

In my styling I wanted to bring out the tailored 50's feel, working with black satin and sequins, and a little beaded decoration. I used gold and a palette of sharp orange, and tropical blues and greens to contrast the black. Sophisticated Coral and Shell jewellery echoes the beach resort theme.
