Fountain on Green Beach, Elton Road, Clevedon, Somerset
An ornate but largely isolated fountain on the main road that runs along Clevedon's sea front. It is a memorial to a woman called Annie Neumann. The Rev. J.S. Newman (Neumann) clearly felt the loss of his wife, aged 69, that he was responsible for this fountain. As well as providing drinking water for people, it also has a red granite horse trough and a white marble bowl for dogs. Erected after her death in 1883, it is now Grade II listed.
