Replica of Trevithick's 1802 Coalbrookdale locomotive at Blists Hill Victorian Town in Ironbridge

This is where the Industrial Revolution began. And this is a replica of a locomotive designed by the great engineer and inventor Richard Trevithick in 1802. It was one of the first steam engines in the world. The engine runs up and down a short stretch of track at Blists Hill Victorian Town near Ironbridge, one of several Ironbridge Gorge Museums, which pay tribute to the developments in this part of Shropshire that changed the whole world - forever.
