Square square

The Europoint-towers, three former office buildings at Marconiplein, Rotterdam.

Designed (1975) by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM).

The two central towers were converted in 2016 into apartments by diederendirrix architects, and renamed "Lee Towers", after the famous Rotterdam singer, Lee Towers, and a sneaky reference to the Trump Towers in the US.

The left one was converted (2018) into the Rotterdam Science Tower-office and laboratory spaces by ATELIERFONT (Marita Bijlsma, Thomas Buijs).

The building on the right is called Marconihuis, Overbeekhuis or Europoint I. Designed by Frits Verbruggen and Peter Goldschmidt and quite a revolution in building technology when built in 1964.
