AO4 - Final Piece - Apart and Together - Natural World

Here is my final piece for the "Apart and/or Together" theme. The main area of focus for my final piece is natural world. I have chosen to create a short video to show different elements of natural world. In the video, I have decided to look at natural world at the beach and also, natural world in the countryside. The reason for these two areas is because I was inspired by Scenery Station when I was doing some artist research. However, for my video, I have put all of my clips together into one video whereas Scenery Station have separate videos for separate shots.

 

For the audio, I have chosen not to include the actual sounds picked up by the camera because it's mainly just the sound of the wind and I didn't really like this. So, I've created some music on Garageband to fit in with the video and also so there's no copyright. When creating the music, I wanted to make something that was calm and relaxed due to the actual video focusing on nature and how peaceful things are. I am really happy at how the music turned out and I believe that it has been quite successful. The two main areas where I filmed natural world were Hartland Quay and Dartmoor. The reason for this is because I felt that these were the best places to get as much primary sources that I could.

 

Overall, I am really happy at how my final piece turned out. I feel that I have gotten mostly what I planned. However, I would have liked to get some more clips of in the forests but unfortunately I was unable to achieve this due to the weather and timings. Also, when uploading to Flickr, the quality of the video got reduced.
