The Pork Chop Express (money shot)
You just listen to the Pork Chop Express here now and take his advice on a dark and stormy night when the lightnin's crashin' and the thunder's a rollin' and the rain's comin' down in sheets thick as lead, just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes and the poison arrows fall from the sky and the pillars o' heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton looks that big ol' storm square in the eye and he says give me your best shot, pal, I can take it.
Length: (Turk) 182 studs
Width: 66 studs
Height: 47 studs
Pilot: Jack Burton! Me.
Yup, I went there. Poring over the original artwork, Keith and I couldn't get over the cab looking like a Daihatsu mini truck. So, I thought I should beef it up a bit. And seeing that it is a Semi in space, I figured why not celebrate the iconic Semi from one of the greatest flicks ever.
So, as for my Seriously Huge Investment in Parts, it comes to a grand total of $8.00 + shipping for a water slide decal set in 1:24 scale and the priceless realization that I have way too much red that I never use.
I also found an invaluable technique that's actually a delightful challenge in Filler Brick's weathered/textured style. Kudos to him, and I hope to do more in the future.
And kudos to all the shipwrights out there, whether they finished or not, the input and inspiration are the core of what this is all about.
Cheers!
