Amazing and Strange Stick Insect Heteropteryx dilatata - Jungle Nymph

From Malaysia - this is considered the heaviest species of insect in the world- weighing up to 6 oz. I think it would take a running start and a big ramp to get airborne! The bright green body and contrasting pink hindwings are cool. It has very sharp spines all over it-- sharper than rose thorns, so I can't imagine any predator wanting to get a mouthful of it.
