Malham Tree by night
So this one of my first attempts at astrophotography. I've had a few attempts before but the weather always had other plans. It was a great clear night and I saw a couple of shooting starts during my attempts which always make me smile. I have a lot to learn I think with the skills and techniques required I think my shutter speed was slightly too long at 25 seconds as trails started to appear even with the Samyang 14mm. Shutter speeds shouldn't be a problem next time as you can push the RAW files quite far it seems. Having said that I'll probably return to this shot in an hour and think it's far too over processed. I gave up eventually when my camera started frosting over however in hindsight I should have put the timer on some long shutter lengths to attempt to get some star trails whilst I got the zzz's in until morning!
