Visiting Posh Relatives was truly "Yuck" as you had to be dressed to the nines (very posh) for the entire visit and not make a wrong move or if you did there was the hissed threat of "Just wait untill I get you home" although the threat was hollow and
= nothing ever happened.
= The good side of visiting Posh Relatives though was being given loads of sweets and toys - I wonder why such relatives never seemed to realise that chocolate for instance was great for getting on everything - and until 1952 when rationing ended was a rare treat indeed so indugence took over every single thought process !!! !!! !!!
= The best side of all to visiting Poh Relatives fom the lower part of the village of "Wibsey" near the massive woolen manufacturing city of "Bradford" in Wesr Yorkshire was when they came to visit you - as depicted above - when you only had to be dressed up for the length of their visit only - BUT you still got toys and sweets and also on the above exceptionally rare ocassiom CHOCOLATE which as this picture was taken of Myself (by my very first Christmas Tree = as per usual with all photographs when visitors was visiting !!! !!! !!!
= In bith hands I am clutching die cast metal racing cars of the year and a face grining from eaar to ear covered with a good sode of milk chocolate !!! !!! !!!
= The year was 1948 when sugar was off ration for sweets for a short time until the tight fisted Goverment off the day realised that due to the collossal demand they had released suggar too early so it went back on severe ration untill 1953 !!! !!! !!!
= Both Posh and Well connected as they could get Chocolate - wow they was cerainly worth having to visit - back in those days and even not getting up to mischief during their visit could be a good thing ??? !!!
