Wat Khao Sukim
by Banchango
Wat Khao Sukim Temple, in Thailand's Chantaburi Province is meant to be a retreat and place for meditation. It was built in 1966. On the top floor is a museum with religious, valuable and some strange items such as radios, record player and old vinyl records on display. There also some very lifelike wax sculptures of some of the revered monks who have been associated with the temple. It is built on the top of a hill and there are 500 steps up the top. Fortunately for people like me there is also a funicular railway. There are some good views from the top and also some interesting grounds around the temple. It is well worth a visit if you are in that area (perhaps on the way to or back from Ko Chang).
I took a lot of photos when we visited but ill upload them few at a time over the next couple of years.
