47238 at Swindon

12th April 1987 and 47238 with an interesting engineers train at Swindon.

 

This locomotive which was built by Brush Traction at Loughborough in 1965 was officially withdrawn in October 2001 and cut up soon afterwards .

 

This is scan from another of my prints on which the colour had deteriorated and which I thought looked better in black & white.
