GWR “Hall” Class 4-6-0 4942 Maindy Hall at Didcot.

12th April 1987 at Didcot Railway Centre and GWR “Hall” Class 4-6-0 4942 Maindy Hall is shown here very much in the condition she was in when she left Barry Scrap Yard. Work to restore her to working condition is now well in hand, not as a Hall Class Locomotive but as a “Saint” Class 4-6-0. It is intended that she should become 2999 Lady Of Legend.
