Redbrook Railway Bridge

This bridge was built for the Wye Valley Railway which opened in 1876. In 1905 the railway became part of the Great Western Railway and then part of British Railways in 1948. It has been closed as a railway bridge since 1964. However it is now in use as a footbridge and is important for walkers crossing the Wye between Monmouthshire in Wales and Gloucestershire in England.

This photo which is a scan of a poor print was taken at Easter 1975.
