Class 108 unit at Llandrindod Wells.
Wednesday 27th July 1990 and Class 108 Unit S946 with car 53939 leading never reached its destination of Shrewsbury. In fact it got no further than Llandrindod Wells. The train from Shrewsbury on the single line ahead was a complete failure and the train in the photograph which I had joined at Llanelli eventually went back to South Wales. Us passengers for Shrewsbury eventually went on by bus. We had to wait several hours for the bus which was not available until after it had completed its normal late afternoon duties as a school bus. Llandrindod Wells on a wet Wednesday afternoon (early closing day) is not an exciting place!
