Baldwin 4-6-2 No. 2.

Sunday 29th June 2014 on the Brecon Mountain Railway a close up of the smoke box number plate on Baldwin 4-6-2 No. 2.

No.2 was built by Baldwin of Philadelphia, USA in 1930, (Works No. 61269) for the Eastern Province Cement Co. Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Damage from a derailment during 1974 ended its working career in South Africa. Eventually it found its way to the Brecon Mountain Railway where it was restored and entered service in 1997.
