Dr Syn (3)

Sunday 18th July 1993. Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. No 10 Dr Syn is about to be turned on Hythe turntable. This 1’3”gauge locomotive was built to the outline of a Canadian Pacific in 1931 by Yorkshire Engine Company. Dr Syn was the smuggling vicar in the novels of Russel Thorndyke. The church at Dymchurch featured in these books. This locomotive has also run with the name Winston Churchill.
