Letterform Project - Final Patterns

Bauhaus 93 lowercase w

Courier New uppercase A

Baskerville uppercase R

Century Gothic Uppercase M

Letters spell out WARM: All inspired by "warmth" in patterns.

The lowercase w pattern is a play on a "Dia De Los Muertos" skull, which are full of little modules and patterns. Instead of a human skull, it is the face of a warm teddy bear that you cuddle up next to on your couch.

The Uppercase A pattern is inspired by an old fashioned quilt pattern.

Uppercase R is inspired by border patterns. I imagined this pattern printed on a decorative pillow, or on a candle.

Finally, the Uppercase M pattern was inspired by clothing garments, particularly a wool "Cosby" sweater.

I designed these all in the spirit of the changing of the season, as we transition deep into Fall weather, I wanted to embrace it by surrounding myself with "warm" patterns. The fun part about cold weather is the ability to layer yourself and surround yourself with awesome and intricate patterns.
