Snail in the Sunset

In a slight break from my usual style, I took this shot when I noticed this snail on a rather exposed part of the road. The light was so fantastic that it looked like he was glowing. I think this photo shows it well.

 

I have tried to use the shallow depth of field created by the close focusing to my advantage here by reflecting a similar pattern in both the bokeh and the snails shell.

 

As a little macroscape, I'm happy with how it came out.
