Gathering aguamiel

To make the alcoholic beverage pulque, a tlachiquero will use a acocote, or a long gourd with holes at both ends to suction out the aguamiel from the heart of the maguey plant. Then it will be left to ferment in a receptacle with pulque. This gets added to every 12 hours or so to keep production going.
