Making the Pendleton 49"er
by CCL photos
I inherited my Grandmother's 1950s '49er Pendleton and so am using it as a comparison to the anniversary edition issued by Pendleton woolens. I am currently muslining it for my niece.
The first 8 photos look at Gram's brown and white - very moth holed - version.
Unlike the anniversary, Gram's has shoulder pads and a shaped collar.
As I began making the muslin for my niece, I noticed that the pleat markings on the pattern for the front shoulder are completely wack. After struggling with them for a while, I bagged it, went to Gram's and saw that it is a completely different construction.
