SWAP 2021 Planning

by CCL photos

Update: So I basically stopped sewing in February/March. So now, long after the deadline, I have made the white shirt/blouse as planned, only I made it sleeveless as it is now almost August. I also completed the culottes. Not sure if I will continue beyond this point. Might make up the plaid dress and jacket... but the grey wool and blue silk voile are going back into stash.

So this year's SWAP rules are so wonderfully flexible - Half or Full Monty, fill in the gaps, and so forth.

Sewing from Stash, sewing up projects envisioned for years' past, sewing up some fun to wear things, sewing only Tried and True patterns... not sure of the direction yet. This placeholder album is to collect garments that I might want to include if I can come up with a coordinating theme. As I complete the SWAP 2021 garments, I remove the placeholders made from the same pattern.

The grey wool jersey dress, grey and olive plaid jacket, red coat, red black and grey striped dress and the pink plaid shirt were from the 2020 SWAP - winter fabrics - that I never finished and have been rethinking.

The V8772 white linen/rayon shirt dress is outlier - summer - but the same pattern of the green wool dress I am currently making. Contemplating using a grey and maroon plaid for a dress/jacket combo, red sweatshirt fleece for another pullover dress, grey crepe for a dress similar to a couple of mashups in previous years, black fleece for my TNT jacket and a blue and apple green plaid wool crepe for a skirt and hopefully vest - all fabric on hand. Thinking of trying to do a winter half monty to fill in the gaps of the first five garments.
