V9138 facings attached - armholes basted

Vogue 9138 adapted to princess seamed front instead of a single piece darted. Front facings attached - simply a narrower version of the "new" princess seam front - cut in slightly, especially at shoulder. Back neck facing created from scratch.

 

All seam edges whip-stitched because of the fabric selection (frays badly). Put in welt pocket stays - a technique I have not tried before.

 

Details: Fabric from FabricMart - a remnant from a skirt made a couple of years ago. Gutterman thread, Fashion Fabric Supply lightweight fusible weft interfacing, silk thread for understitching and hand-stitching the lining.
