7- Vogue 8772 (V8772) basting right along the edge of the folded under seam allowance

After I have the entire seam pinned, I baste right along side the edge of the fold. Doing this lets me (1) to catch any place along the seam that is too wide or too narrow before top-stitching, (2) hold the fabric in place before I machine stitch, and (3) give me a guideline when stitching from the right side of the garment.
