M2447 vest inside pocket

3 of 3

Created an inside breast pocket. Kept it far enough back from facing edge so that it wouldn't give my sewing machine fits doing the buttons (having to compensate for different heights of fabric). Otherwise, nothing fancy, just a patch pocket lined with the lining fabric and attached to the lining.

----------------

Added an inch and a half to length, took in 2.5 to 3 inches on side (1 and 1/2 on both front and back).

Instead of fake welt pockets, made real ones and added a inside breast pocket for cell phone etc.

Interfaced the entire front and back as well as facings, welts and second layer of interfacing to stabilize pockets. Didn't interface the belt. Machine buttonholes.

Super 120 wool from FabricMart, Bemberg lining from Emma One Sock, lightweight weft fusible interfacing from Fashion Sewing Supply. Buttons from Joann's (LaMode) and belt buckle thingy I had on hand.
