bootstrap 4167 -jacket (sleeves from v2655) with Ann Klein V2433
Bootstrap 4167 with mashup of Oscar de la Renta Vogue 2655 sleeves. Used Bootstrap's custom fitting options- needed no other alterations, save for the sleeve substitution.
Worn with very old (that's the downside of sewing...garments last forever) black Ann Klein Vogue 2433 skirt. Skirt definitely needs a pressing!
Sewing notes:
Wool possibly flannel, [purchased ages ago in a brick and mortar store. Prepped by running through cycle on dryer with damp hand towels. Faux suede collar - next to neck not visible in this photo. Under collar - part that shows - in wool. Mettler silk finish cotton thread on wool (probably should have used polyester or silk, but didn't). Stitch length 3, tension 3.5, needle microtex size 12. Metrosene thread on lining ... A poly crepe backed satin.
Dritz covered buttons, a bear to make, ended up pushing wool into mold, moistening the edges and using the pusher thing to force the edges into shape while the wool dried. Was able to get the backs on, if I did this.
Canvas interfacing cut on bias for sleeve hems; purchased wigan for jacket hem.
Button holes the most difficult part. All but three were took several attempts.
