Voguel 8890 -13 Back pocket bag completed
A note here about the basting line at the top of the pocket bag. When I made the muslin and then the trial garment for this pattern, the pocket bag extending over the top of the waist by about an inch. I thought it was deliberate, but nothing in the instructions supported that notion.
I dug out an older men's trouser pattern and traced off how it treated the top of the pocket bag and matched it to the pattern piece for 8890. That's the basting line -- because I didn't want to cut off the 8890's extra fabric until I was 100% sure I didn't need it.
And I didn't. So for future makes, I am modifying the top of the 8890 pattern piece down to that basted line.
