March 18, 2010 - "The Missing Dimension of Safety: Risk and Complexity in Tort Law and Regulatory Governance" - Professor Angus Corbett recently gave a Penn Program on Regulation risk regulation seminar regarding regulatory law as a framework to aid in public health risk reduction initiatives. Specifically, Corbett utilizes the paradigm of tort law as a vehicle to compare its effects on reducing medical errors as well as its reduction or transportation accidents. Professor Tom Baker, William Maul Measey Professor of Law and Health Sciences at Penn Law provided commentary. Professor Corbett is a visiting scholar at Penn Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia as well as a Fellow at the Centre for Clinical Governance Research in Health at the University of New South Wales in Australia.
