1921 Kissel 45

2015 Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance

Kemble, Ontario (Owen Sound)

This car is part of the collection at the Canadian Automotive Museum in Oshawa Ontario. The Kissel was built in Hartford, Wisconsin and is commonly known as a "Gold Bug because of its colour. Their most famous features are the drawer seats that pull out from both sides for extra seating. This very unsafe seating is believed to be a unique element of Gold Bugs. These cars proved very popular with celebrities in the '20s, with owners including Amelia Earhart and Jack Dempsey.
