Little Owl
Marden - driving down a narrow lane on the way home from the meadow I spotted this bird on a telegraph wire. Luckily there was an entrance to a sports field, so manged to pull in, open the door, then opened the boot and got the camera, and took a few shots, but unfortunately the sun was right behind the bird. I decided to cross the lane and surreptitiously try to walk past to the other side to get the light behind me. As I got level it obviously thought enough is enough and flew off. I think this certainly the first Little Owl I have seen since I used to see them atop of telegraph poles back in the early 90's when retuning home from a night shift.
