Auburn, CA - vintage postcard of the Golden Key Motel on U.S. 40 (I-80) - early/mid 1960's
As of 2022, the Golden Key is still in business and is still a Best Western affiliate. Seen to the left of the photo is the tail end of the big neon sign of Lou LaBonte's restaurant which was an iconic Auburn institution for around 70 years before closing down in 2014. That building still stands and is now home to Awful Annie's restaurant.
