Jacksonville Municipal Airport (Imeson Field) postcard view - circa late 1940's

 

This was Jacksonville's airport for commercial air traffic until Jacksonville International Airport opened in 1967. Imeson Airport closed around 1969-1970. An industrial park was constructed on the property and today very little evidence of the airport remains.
