I wanted to document that orioles do catch and feed on Japanese beetles. Apparently once a grub becomes a beetle, it’s hard shell makes it a less desirable food for birds and very few birds will consume the adult beetles. This adult oriole is feeding its fledgling young one in this image...I’ve observed this twice so far this season and was finally able to capture it.
