Ruby-throated Hummingbird 11-19-2009 Lincoln Co. KY
This hummer is very late migrating through Kentucky for a Ruby-throated. It was photographed today resting deep in a weed patch just off our deck. In general not very cold hardy, it better get a move on! The purple color in the background are berries from a beautyberry bush..... This little guy was last observed 11-25-2009.
