Baltimore Oriole SY female by Jackie B. Elmore 7-5-2017 Lincoln Co. KY
I've always had a fascination with molt limits and trying to age birds. This female oriole I think is a second year (SY) bird judging by the molt limit of the greater coverts (one dark one) , most median coverts( dark with white tips) and the faded and quite frayed primaries, secondaries and tertials. Also notice how worn and frayed the retrices are! This is the same "plain Jane" female I photographed on June 11 showing a brood patch.
