Gulf Fritillary (leucistic) Warren Co. Kentucky 9-7-1998
This was one of the most interesting things I have ever observed in the flower garden. This leucistic Gulf Fritillary was present for several days and was easily located. This photo taken with just a pocket camera, does not show how perfect this butterfly was. I was lucky to photograph both normal and leucistic in the same frame. Though not a great photo, it shows the oddity.
