On the drive up to SJ, I stopped at the WIllow Ranch BBQ (which came *highly* recommended by a good friend). Ommigod. Best Peach Pie EVER! Plus, the pulled pork sandwich was excellent: I couldn't decide whether to use the salsa or eat it plain (just the right amount of seasoning!), so I alternated bites. The peach pie is the best I've had in memory. You can see the excellence in the pics!
Since I was flying out of SFO, I spent a few days in San Jose seeing friends, dogs and hiking. VIsited a friend at Apple so I could enjoy their wonderful "cafeteria" (like most cool tech companies, the company food stop is gourmet level).
Gordon scored a pair of tickets to the Ikea Crayfish Festival and invited me along. More food galore.
