Freiburg is an alien place-- especially to a visitor from a desert land.
The Conquistadors spoke of El Dorado as a place where gold was so common that it was used as paving stones.
The Old City section of Freiburg is criss-crossed with little rills or channels filled with clean, cool water. Water clean enough to cool your feet in, for your dog to drink and for kids to play in. The water flows freely and is constantly fed from a clean source. There are also fountains all over that part of the city constantly flowing with water clean enough to drink. The very concept makes my head spin.
Add to this a beautiful gothic town, right on the edge of the Black Forest and you get the city we have been looking forward to all trip.
I have separated out the dog catalog and foodie pics. The dogs are a personal mania and the food is unfair. They each have their own folders now.
