Virginia October 2011
by furtech
Tracy finally got me to visit her family out in the wilds of Virginia. I got to see Cody, her smooth collie, again after nearly- what- five years? Love Cody. He's like a giant, pointy-nosed cat.
Speaking of which, she also has an adorable "apple brained" Siamese. Very polite feline: first cat I've encountered who is both friendly and doesn't jump on me while I'm sleeping.
Wednesday:
I arrived in pouring rain. The brilliant airport porters left everyone's bags out in the rain long enough for them to get soaked through and through. Several books were water-damaged. Nice job, guys.
The Charlottesville Airport is amusing. I rushed out to baggage claim and after a few feet almost ran past it into the parking lot. Tiny. Nice. I like it a lot.
Thursday:
The day was much dryer and I was able to get a quick tour of the yard and garden before the big road trip.
Everything was pretty soggy, but I'm impressed with the work Tracy has put into it. Maybe she'll get me out there in the early summer when it should be in full color.
I love her house: very cozy!
