I helped out at the Border Collie Rescue booth at the Pet Expo in Orange County last April.
Lots of dogs, pets and stuff for pets. My main job was to walk the dogs and let them do their business, clean up said-business and let people see the dogs out and around the event. My ulterior motive was to burn off enough calories to earn a turkey leg (they're horrendously high in calories-- who knew?)
The weather was hot once again, but at least there was a steady breeze. I got my beaver dog food as well as some venison-tripe from the same company.
Our neighbors across the way at the campsite were the Klee-kai club. So neat to have them there: cute dogs (much less rowdy/loud than the bc's!) and so cute.
Oh, and I did earn my leg!
