EF2010 Saturday

by furtech

Saturday is the Big Day of the convention. Aside from the dance DJ'd by Big Blue Fox and the last night at the con for many people, this was the night of the puppet show.

Since the day was programming-light (most of the staff was busy with the puppet show rehearsals), I went into Magdeburg to see the city (but I'll put those pics in a separate set).

"Puppet show" hardly describes this elaborate production, which features a script, originally created puppets, backdrops and theatrical effects. The stories are moving and well-acted. I can't guess how many hundreds of man-hours go into the show, but you see all of this when the curtain goes up.

This year's show did not fail to impress, despite my own high expectations. A strong story, new characters and hyenas! I loved it!

Cheetah and his crew deserved the standing ovation they got for their work.

After this was the big dance, though I spent most of the evening socializing and opening Kinder Eggs. They had a "Dog City" theme and I was trying to get the Alsation character-- to no avail. At least there was plenty of chocolate to go around and weird toys to put together.

I think I crashed some time around 5 or 6 am...I know I headed off at 5, but ended up talking to many people along the way up.
