Carving the Feather Rock

Feather rock is an unusual form of volcanic rock that resembles sea-foam turned to glass. I was familiar with the material-- but not at working it. Turns out it's the easiest thing in the world to work: us a concrete saw or a cheap saw (it dulls blades like crazy). I will try using a drywall saw next time. You can also chisel it with a screwdriver if necessary. Here they have cut off the bottom to create a flat base.
