Water or Land?

Unfortunately, nearly the whole flight home was over thick cloud cover. I wanted to see Iceland and Greenland, but no-go. During one break in the cover, somewhere near Canada-- I saw these formations. I'm not sure if they are ice and foam on the ocean or land formations. Anyone want to guess?
