Black Forest Freiburg Beetle

The Black Forest equivalent of L.A.'s darkling beetle: they are all over the place and incredibly inept. If turned over onto their back (they do this to themselves a lot on their own), they apparently just die: I saw a lot of deceased, up-turned beetles along the way.
