Hodgen, Oklahoma
A set of the cleanest looking motive power you can expect on the KCS leads M-SHKC-26 north at track speed through the small settlement of Hodgen, Oklahoma on a beautiful winter day. The puddles displaying a nearly perfect reflection of the train are all that remains of the historic 8 inch snowfall that blanketed the Ouachita Mountains several days prior. Now that the climb over Rich Mountain is behind it, the train is quickly approaching Heavener, where the locomotives will be fueled and a new crew will take over for the next leg of the trip to Pittsburg, Kansas.
